Revival week has once again come and gone. I can't believe it! I know that I am physically exhausted, but spiritually uplifted.
You know, one of the "benefits" of being the preacher's family is getting to know the visiting preachers on a personal level. These men really do live what they preach. I am so thankful that my boys have this opportunity to see that.
Nathan and Samuel love it when we go out to eat with the visiting preacher. It's a good thing these men love children, because going out to eat with my boys can often be a disastrous event with spills, trips, etc (I know I am the only one that this happens to, right? :-) ). One of the preachers always makes sure that he sits on the opposite end of the table AWAY from Samuel because my son is notorious for spilling his drinks! Oh, well!
It's been a great week!
Have a wonderful and blessed day!

REVIVAL/SLEEP OVER WITH GRANDMOM
The first night of our revival started last night. What a fitting night to start our Spring Revival, on Resurrection Sunday! Both of my boys each sang a song at the beginning of the service. Nathan sang "Nothing but the Blood" and Samuel sang "The Wise Man Built His House Upon a Rock". I will have to video it some time and put on our blog.
Nathan and Samuel are staying at their Grandmom's tonight with a couple of their cousins (Boys Night!), so they will miss tonight's service. But they are SO excited whenever they get a chance to be with their cousins.
Samuel, the youngest, was telling me how much he was going to miss me, UNTIL he got to my mom's house. Then Mommy moved somewhere to the back of his mind when he started playing. :-(! Well, Mommy will miss them VERY much. They don't stay away from home at night very often. As a matter of fact, I can count the times on my one hand.
We are getting excited as we are planning our trip to the mountains in June. The life of the pastor's family is so uncertain as vacation plans (and other plans in general) can get turned around in a moment depending on what is happening with the church.
Have a wonderful and blessed Monday!

ACHIEVEMENT TESTS
I CAN NOT believe it's that time of year already. Time for achievement tests at school. Nathan, my oldest, loves taking tests (didn't get that from me!). He's excited about them. This is Samuel's first year in school (he's in K5), so he doesn't quite know too much about them yet.
Then, next week is Easter vacation and also our Spring Revival Week. Busy, Busy, Busy! Atleast this year the boys and I will be able to make it to more nights of the revival because school is out.
We had Puppet Practice at church last night (my personal ministry at the church). Our church has puppets on Sunday morning for the Children Church every time there is a fifth Sunday in a month. Nathan wants SO badly to help out. I will let him in a pinch, but the actual age rule is that you have to be 11 to help with the puppets at church due to the fact that our Children's Church ends at age 11 and we must be fair. I have no age limits if we perform with them elsewhere or at a different time other than fifth Sunday mornings. I want to encourage them as much as I can to stay involved with church.
Have a blessed Monday!

FIELD TRIP UPDATE
Oh, what a day! Samuel has been having stomach problems off and on for about three weeks now.
I thought he was doing a little better until this morning when he woke up with a stomach ache and got sick.
He wanted SO bad to go on this school field trip, so we headed to school. He got sick again just before the bus left. We got him changed and headed to the aquarium.
Everything seemed to be fine until half way through the aquarium, where he once again was sick. I finally ended up heading home with him. How good the Lord is to see that I had to drive separately due to lack of seating space on the bus! He is always looking out for us!
I guess it's another trip to the doctor's in the morning so that they can run tests and try to find out what is going on with my little guy!
Please keep us in your prayers!
Beth :-)

FIRST SCHOOL FIELD TRIP
Well, Samuel will be going on his very first school field trip tomorrow. I took the day off to go with him. We are both VERY excited! I have to follow in my car, so I really hope I don't get lost (anyone who knows me knows that I am directionally challenged!). Details and pictures to follow.
